Hello Friends, welcome to Backwater Gallery and Studio. It's been a beautiful autumn on the Eastern Shore and this weekend we are looking forward to the annual Downrigging Festival. In addition to the Tall Ships celebration we are participating in the inaugural Chestertown Artists Tour(CAT) Saturday, October 31st and Sunday, November 1st. Backwater features the work of landscape artist, Jono Tew, who after many years spent in the American Southwest has brought his unique perspective to the rivers and countryside of Maryland's Eastern Shore. Jono's original oil paintings and hand-made prints are on view as well as a look into the artist's studio and work currently in progress.
